Origin analysis by DNA genealogy

Your origin can be analysed with a simple saliva sample. Depending on the chosen test, your heplogroup, your ancient tribe and your region of origin will be determined. The access to the world's largest genealogical DNA database allows the search for unknown relatives.

With an origin analysis you will discover if you are e.g. of Celtic, Germanic, Etruscan or Jewish origin.

A DNA genealogy test can be helpful even for experienced genealogists. By comparing different people you can check their relationships. This enables you to join together different branches of your family tree and confirm or disprove speculations and family legends as well as reach back into centuries from which no written records have survived with your research.

Positive: You can investigate on a modular basis. Good support by e-mail and telephone. Negative: It takes a long time, until the laboratory results are available.

I learned that my people of origin are the Slavs. Have written to some of my genetic cousins ??and received very friendly responses.

Positive: fast and substantive information from Mr. Scholz. Negative: genetic genealogical research is still young. If possible, more detailed information on the haplogroups.

Positive:The final result was interesting and not at all what i expected. Negative:Not knowing a more specific region. by that not the fault of the process it science! I think more info on the history or the region one comes from can help appease the immediate curiosity one feels.

My origins are surprising to me, but my expectations are met. I will definitely use iGenea again in the near future since I still have questions about the male side of my family. I will probably ask a male relative to be tested. Thank you for your hard work.

Always friendly contact. Extremely long waiting times. Webpage update was not properly done (deep clade test).

I didn' give much information about my oral and written family history. Also, my son performed the same test as myself with IGENEA using the family name of his mother and omitting mine. Despite this lack of data, IGENEA and FTDNA accurately discovered both my remote ancestors origin and the genetic connection of my son to me. This has been for me an indisputable proof of the highest scientific quality of the work of IGENEA and FTDNA. I already recommended your services to my relatives and friends.

I think this is a good service. I think the language is very scientific and can be off-putting. i am a psychologist, so I'm used to reading scientific papers but i found the whole thing rather heavy to read. i think it may be made easier for the layman.
